Our Brief History
History may be too pretentious a word for a child so young! But, in as much as things do not spring out of a total void, and in as much as we are speaking of a small business, we do have history at work here. There is history at work when things ring true, appropriate and fit in a reasonable, persuasive pattern. There is history when events can be reported to broader goals and objectives and match something that all of us know to be good and worthwhile. In this case the bigger picture to which this brief history draws is nothing other than the American Dream itself: Two young men, Francesco and Emiliano Marra move to the US with their mother and fulfill their dream of becoming chefs. Francesco became the executive chef of a major Italian restaurant in Washington, DC and Emiliano became the best pizza and bread baker in the entire region in a position that supplied bread and pizza to a number of area restaurants. As they fulfilled those dreams, they discovered that their true desire was to improve the supply service mechanisms that inform and feed the entire area restaurant industry, its world and culture. It is in this spirit that they added their company to a small number of imaginative, creative supply houses whose only objective is to uphold the highest and safest eating standards of a modern, international, and multi-ethnic country.
